Fees and Insurance

  • Your intake appointment will give us an opportunity to make a provisional diagnosis, assess your needs, and orient you to the clinical process.  It will also give you an opportunity to ask any questions you might have.  Intakes are scheduled for 75 minutes,  and may last longer.  Subsequent sessions last approximately 45-50 minutes.

  •  Some people have concerns regarding the nature of the questions in the intake.  We will never require you to answer a question that you are not ready to answer.  Assessment is an ongoing clinical process.  Some people are not prepared to disclose their most intimate issues until they feel safe; and though we will encourage your growth, we will encourage it at a rate that is appropriate for you.

  • We encourage you to check with your insurance company to determine what your benefits are.  Most insurance companies provide you with a card that has an 800 number on the back of it so you can call customer service.

  • We are no longer "in-network" with any insurance company.  We are happy to provide the paperwork so that you can submit to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement.  Be aware that some insurance companies are not reimbursing remote services such as telephone or video therapy.

  • Our rates are approximately $125 per hour.  We may discuss a sliding scale depending on availability.

  • Clinical consultation fees vary, and may be pro bono

  • Legal consultation fees and collection fees will be assessed if necessary

  • Ultimately, you are responsible for any fees you incur.

  • Comprehensive DBT includes therapy, crisis intervention/coaching, and DBT Skills Training.  If you have a personality disorder, we may require that you participate in Comprehensive DBT.  Attendance is mandatory per Comprehensive DBT Guidelines.

  • The Class takes approximately a year to complete (and graduate)
